Apollo Bay, the Otways & the Great Ocean Road, offer the opportunity to try many other exciting activities, as well as experiencing the Great Ocean Walk.

Why not try Kayaking to the Seals at the Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary, Learn to Surf or Snorkel, or explore the Otways National Park or the beautiful Mariners Falls (close to Apollo Bay), by Mountain Bike.

Kayaking to the Seals at the Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary
Paddle out to the Seal Colony viewing the coasts beautiful hills and reefs from the ocean. Learn about the Australian Fur Seals and how they live. Experience them up close and personal, and fingers crossed they may swim over to learn about you! Have fun paddling as a team in our 2 seated easy to use sit-on-top-kayaks. The adventurous can catch waves back to the shore!

Price includes 2 hours of instruction and touring with qualified guides. All equipment is provided including wetsuits, helmets and PFDs (life jackets).

You must be able to swim 25 meters. (This activity is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.). This is a great activity for both beginners and experienced kayakers.

 

 

Learn to Surf
Surfing is fun, great exercise and a skill that will be with you for life! Learn to surf with qualified coaches who teach in the water with you on easy to ride waves. Receive instruction in Surf Safety and Ocean Awareness, how to carry the boards safely and be respectful of other surfers. Our friendly Instructors are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Price includes 1 & 1/2-hour lessons, full-length wetsuits and safe soft ‘G’-Boards (with no sharp edges help to make your whole experience fun). We aim to get you standing first lesson! AUD$55 per person. (Family & group discounts available).

You need to be able to swim at least 25m. No experience necessary, just a desire to ride the waves!

 

Learn to Snorkel
Experience the underwater world! 85% of marine life and plants found here and in southern Australian waters are found nowhere else in the world! Instruction in ocean safety is given in different, beautiful locations around Apollo Bay and the Great Otway National Park.

Price includes 1 & 1/2 hour lessons learning to use snorkeling equipment with qualified coaches who jump in water with you. We provide you with full-length wetsuits (or spring suits if preferred) with hoods, snorkels and fins to make the experience comfortable and fun.

You need to be able to swim 25m.No experience necessary. Recommended from age 8 and over.
