We had a wicked time on the Great Ocean Walk. Really special part of the world. Walk is stunning. Easier than expected (or at least by Kiwi alpine standards) and a really surprising variety of scenery. Lots of wildlife and the contrast between bush canopy and open coastlines keep it really interesting for sight seeing and walking. And yes, the walk through the eucalypts was stunning, although I wouldn’t want to do it in the wet. Fortunately for us it only rained on the days we were hugging the coast. We heard of Walk 91 and the Great Ocean Walk on the web. It was then confirmed that Walk 91 services had been used by a friend who recommended after that . They were…really nicely planned stages. We really enjoyed all our accommodation and hosts. The range of lodgings and the opportunity to meet the locals was the very reason we chose this package. Take plenty of water. Breath deeply and enjoy.
